Festive Facilitation: Dinner Party Experience Design
Description
Experience design does not only apply to workshops and meetings, but can just as well be applied to festive get-togethers! And you can shine as super host too!
Instructions
Actually, hosting a dinner party is one of our favourite analogies to introduce the importance of ‘prep’ and thinking of the A-Z experience of workshop participants aka. party guests.
These ‘project management’ factors that go into supporting the full user experience journey are often overlooked or avoided by facilitators, and seen as the ‘less sexy’ parts of a gig- in comparison to being at the front of the room, or the actual hosting. But these are the factors with the power to make or break a gathering.
One of the ways to approach the experience, is by looking at the BEFORE, DURING & AFTER. There is a variety of elements to consider for each of those parts, when preparing a workshop aka. dinner.
For you, we have created a check-list you can use to for your next festive gathering- making it a great, memorable experience for each any everyone. As always, consider this list through your own context.
